By donating & attending Mason’s Annual Round Up Rodeo you are directly supporting further education for local students! Our mission at MTXR is to promote the opportunity of education, support and scholarship to the youth of Mason County by encouraging and promoting agriculture, the sport of rodeo and western heritage. Each year due to the support we are able to provide scholarships to Seniors pursuing higher education this year! Look around and you’ll see many more student volunteers generously giving their time this year. We can’t wait to see how many students are awarded scholarships next year! How to Apply
● Completed application form either typed or printed legibly.
● On a separate page write (must be typed) a brief essay (minimum of 200 words must be typed) explaining why you are applying for the Mason TX Rodeo Scholarship and how you feel it will aid in your education. Within the essay please include your ag and or rodeo activities how they have impacted you and your education growth, the importance of western heritage and your plans post degree.
● Provide a listing of all past and present rodeo and/or agriculture (4H/FFA) related experiences including awards and achievements.
● Provide a listing of all volunteer hours with Mason TX Rodeo (include year, hours and tasks)
● School transcript with GPA from the last reporting period.
● Proof of Acceptance or Attendance from College, Community College or Trade School.

Who should apply:
● A Senior in high school or equivalent home-schooled student who holds residence in Mason County for a minimum of 12 months prior to application.
● Must be a resident of Texas and of Mason County.
● Applicant must have a minimum of 8 hours volunteer with Mason TX Rodeo during their high school career.

Scholarship Awarded: May 2025
